Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy

I just finished reading “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy.

The notion is based on a quote by Mark Twain. If you start each day by eating a live frog, the rest of your day will be easy.

Tracy distills this concept to explain the need for you to tackle your most unpleasant tasks first. Prioritize your work so that you work on what things you have been putting off. The rest of your day will be a breeze.

It’s not a long book and can easily be read in one sitting. The concepts contained are powerful.

This is the kind of volume that should be kept near by as there are amazing nuggets of wisdom.

You can watch a short film based on Tracy’s book, right here:

Eat That Frog!

There are other tips contained in “Eat That Frog” which will really help your productivity. The entire concept is to make you more productive.

Other gems include breaking large tasks down and make sure you schedule blocks of time to work.

This volume is for anyone interested in getting more done in their life.

That’s all of us, right?

Grab the book, here:

Excuse me, I got to eat that frog,

How To Make A Fortune From Someone Else’s Product Launch

I have an interesting article from Jimmy D. Brown that I wanted to share with you about Small Reports:

How To Make A Fortune From Someone Else’s Product Launch
Without Being An Affiliate Or Promoting Their Offer

By Jimmy D. Brown of “Small Reports Fortune”

……………………………

I’m an observer. I watch marketers and how they work.
I look at how people respond to marketing. And I’ve
discovered something interesting over the years that I
want to share with you as it relates to building your
internet business.

Hot topics and trends come along regularly. There’s always
a new “in” thing making an appearance on the radar screen.
And whenever there’s a new rage, there will be marketers
who jump on the bandwagon.

That can pay off big for YOU if you’re smart.

Let me explain.

What happens when a new trend or technique or tool surfaces?

*** People begin to talk about it.***

Marketers begin convincing people why they need it.
Consumers tell their stories. Discussions take place. Hype
builds. Sometimes controversy breaks out. An education
process unfolds.

Through it all … DEMAND increases.

Now, here’s where you come along.

You piggyback on the popularity of the latest big hit by
creating a small report on the topic. You get the benefit of
other marketers creating hungry leads for your offer without
them even knowing it.

Let me give you an example –

EXAMPLE

When John Reese released Traffic Secrets it was a huge success.
He sold over a million dollars worth of product in one twenty-four
hour period. However, at a $997.00 asking price, it was out of reach
for many consumers.

But…

What if YOU had decided to write a 15 page small report entitled,
“Free Traffic Secrets” and offered it for $20 … do you think
you would have had any takers? Of course!

Why? Because every marketer on the planet was talking about
the need for web site traffic so they could build interest in
John’s course. They were creating hungry leads for your offer
without them even knowing it.

All of these marketers expertly and persuasively pointed out
the necessity, benefits and usages of getting web site traffic.
They, in essence, would have created demand for the TOPIC of your
small report.

1. Many of those that couldn’t afford John’s high-ticket product
would likely buy your small report because the end result of
getting site traffic was something they had been told repeatedly
they needed!

2. Many of those who could afford John’s high-ticket product would
also likely buy your small report because of the same reason AND
they would like to know what you might offer differently than John.

Do you see how powerful this is?

Even as I type this lesson out, I have received DOZENS of emails
today announcing a new co-registration product that everyone’s talking
about.

I could spend a few hours this evening writing a small report on
the same topic and sell it like crazy tomorrow because of everything
that’s being said about the subject today.

So, what’s the lesson for you to learn here –

**The surest way to create a hot-selling small report is to
pick a topic related to that which everyone is talking about.***

You know, it doesn’t matter what “market” you’re in, chances are you see
the same kinds of outbreaks that I see in “internet marketing” circles …

* Major product launches
* New technologies and tools
* Fresh research
* Innovative features and improvements
* Ground-breaking news
* Hot topics of discussion
* Best-selling books
* Interest-grabbing magazine articles
* Emerging trends

The list could go on and on, right?

It shouldn’t come as a big surprise that you need to monitor what’s going
on around you, specifically looking for the latest topic everyone’s talking
about.

You can do this by regularly browsing 4 trend and event “hot spots”…

1. Active Forums. Find at least one ACTIVE forum related to your market and
regularly visit it to look for ideas. Keyword here is “active”. The ideal
forum will have a number of participants who regularly post messages.

2. News Feeds. You can begin with Google.com’s news center at http://news.google.com.
You should also look for a news feed or site that is specific to your field
of interest. For example: I regularly visit http://ChristianHeadlines.com to
stay on top of events related to some of my Christian sites.

3. Article Directories. Spend a few minutes at your favorite article directory,
focusing specifically on the NEWEST articles posted and the TOP RECENT articles
read. I regularly check http://goarticles.com.

4. Competitor’s Lists. You’ll also want to “spy” on what your competition is doing
by joining their lists. When a major competitor begins highlighting certain
topics in their content (I.E. “articles”) and / or releases or promotes a specific
product, it’s a good indication that you should pay attention.

All of these things allow you to capitalize on the current buzz!

Create small reports based on these buzz-worthy topics.

Animoto: Incredible Video Tool

Animoto is a video tool that will turn even the most boring slides into a professional movie.

You can easily create stunning videos to promote yourself, your website or blog. You can email your creation to family, friends and business associates. The possibilities are endless.

You also get to create a soundtrack for your film. If you wish, use the copy-right free music or upload your own. This site is incredible.

The interface is extremely easy to use. Just upload your images, order them in your movie, choose your music and you are in business.

You can then downlaod your video, post it directly to YouTube or even email it to a friend.

Here is my first video that I made using animoto.

I created this with a couple of pictures to promote my pizza web site, Pizza Therapy.

Here is another video I created for Hawaii Secret Dot Com

This video was extremely simple and quick to put up. The interface is surpsingly simple.

Animoto is an amazing resource. Best of all it is totally free to use.

The downside is that the free vidoes are limited to 30 seconds. You can purchase a paid version of the site at a very reasonable price.

You really need to put animoto, in your Internet Marketers tool box.

Very powerful, very visual and totally awwsome. Go to animoto and make your own dazzling video statement.

Giveaway Riches: The Money’s In The Relationship

I’ve been going through Jason James, new product Giveawy Riches.

First, this product is not for everyone. You need to be motivated and be willing to take action.

Giveaway Riches is the kind of product that needs to be used.

I’ve been following Jason James for a while. While he is visible, he does a lot of work behind the scenes. He is able to pull off his style of Internet Marketing by being honest and straight forward.

We all know the mantra in marketing:

THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST.

The truth of the matter is that the money is in the relationship with that list.

Giveawy Riches. will teach you how to foster that kind of relationship. That’s really what its all about

The key is getting a big list of your own.

The problem is it takes time to build a list. In
cases, it can take months or even years to build
a big list in a niche. And that’s why most
marketers give up trying.

Thank goodness Jason James found another way.
You see, Jason is a self-made internet
millionaire and he didn’t get that way by
sitting around hoping to have a big mailing list
someday.

He went out and discovered what the top 1% of all
internet marketers was doing to build their own
massive mailing lists.

He took what he learned and tested. What worked,
he kept doing and the rest he tossed out. More
importantly, Jason took notes every step of the
way.

And now he’s taken his notes and turned them
into a powerful new manual called Giveaway
Riches.

You see, Jason discovered that the top marketers
were using a marketing technique called giveaway
events to build a list and make money at the same
time.

Sounds simple, right?

Well, you’d be both right and wrong.

Set up and do your giveaway event correctly and
you could wind up with results like Jason.

A recent giveaway event yielded a new subscriber
list of 50,000 people and over $100K in sales.

Of course, if you make a mistake with your
giveaway, you could wind up with no list, no
sales, and a professional reputation worse than a
disgraced politician resigning from office.

Fortunately, Jason has created a manual that lays
everything out for you, step-by-step.

Check it out here:
Giveawy Riches.

I’ve reviewed Giveaway Riches and it’s
absolutely brilliant. It’s a marketing
technique that works so well that it should kept
under lock and key.

Best of all, Jason explains everything in plain
English so you can get started right away. There
are no complicated graphs or technical lingo. You
get exactly the information you need.

And if you ever need help, there is a support
desk ready to answer all your questions.

So what are you waiting for?

Giveawy Riches.

Regards,

Albert Grande
Giveawy Riches.

P. S. You can use the system for 56 days and
receive full money back if not satisfied. And
speaking of money, I don’t know what Jason was
thinking, but he’s practically giving this
manual away for a super low fee. So grab it
now before he comes to his senses.

Giveawy Riches.

Grateful Dead Internet Marketing Lessons, Part 3

In case you missed Part 1 and Part 2 of this series you can read them here:

Part One: The Grateful Dead’s Niche Marketing Concept

Part Two: The Grateful Dead’s Unique Selling Position (USP)

Now let’s talk about how the Dead were able to form relationships.

One of the best techniques The Grateful Dead used was that they freely gave away their music.

This allowed the Grateful Dead to build a strong relationship with their fans.

They knew how to cultivate relationships. They realized the importance of relationship marketing.

Early on in their career they were involved in a number of free concerts.

At one point, they pulled a flatbed truck into the middle of San Francisco, unannounced. They set up a sound system with all of their instruments, on the back of the truck, and they played a set of music. The entire area was shut down.

They also palyed a number of free concerts in Golden Gate Park.

Grateful Dead Free Concert Golden Gate Park

This was a way for them to share their passion for their music. Their fans loved them.

Early on the Dead had no problem with people recording their music during live shows. As Jerry Garcia explained, to David Letterman, once they were done with the music, “they can have it”.

In spite of allowing fans to record all of their concert and trade tapes, the Grateful Dead, still sold plenty of albums. They sold out huge arenas. toward the end of their touring days, the Dead would play arenas for two and three consecutive nights.

The Grateful Dead were masters of relationship marketing. They built a wildly loyal fan base, by giving of themselves. And by giving away their music.

The lesson here is clear, for all Internet Marketers. Give away something of value. Give part of yourself. Then build a relationship with your customers.

Richard Thompson Does Brittney Spears…Oops…

Richard Thompson is an incredible musician. He is a wonderful troubador. He certainly has never gotten the recognition he deserves.

He’s been around for decades just doing what he does. He usually plays his own music which is original and memorable.

Thompson is really a musician’s musician.

Imagine my surprise when I cam accross this video of Thompson covering: Brittney Spears.

The truly amazing thing about Richard Thompson is that he pulls this one off.

Thanks, Richard. you did it again. Oops.

Marlon Sanders Message to Me: Set Your Goals

Let me do a quick disclaimer.

No, I don’t know Marlon Sanders, personally.

Yes, I did get a personal message from him.

Here’s how. I’m a big fan of Marlon. I belong to his list. I own a number of his products.

I respond to blog posts, especially when the author asks for a comment. I responded to one of Marlon’s posts.

You can find the blog, here Marlon’s Blog.

He responded to me and recommended I check out Michael Masterson’s video about goal setting for the upcoming year.

I immediately did watch it and found it to be a powerful system. Michael uses this exact system. Remember, you need to make sure you 1) write down all of you goals and 2) take action to get those goals accomplished.

Here is Michael Masterson’s video about goal setting that he uses everyday to accomplish his goals. At the end of the video, Micheal recommends several books that you read in 2009.

Here are some of the books Michael recommends. His advice is: “to improve your marketing knowledge, copywriting skills, and more.”

This is a great marketing resource by David Ogilvy

The Long Tail by Chris anderson is another excellent book.

Michael’s own book is a how to develop a business from scratch and take it to a six to seven figure business.: Ready, Fire Aim:

Thanks, Marlon. Thanks Michael.

Great advice for the upcoming year.

Internet Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead Part 1

Wolfgang's Vault

The Grateful Dead knew their niche.

The Grateful Dead was a rag-tag bunch of misfits and malcontnets. They weren’t the best musicians. They weren’t slick. They never had a “hit” record. And yet they were (and still are), wildly popular.

They became friends with famous artists such as Salvador Dali. Their fan base consisted of U.S. Senators, lawyers, doctors, professionals, and working people.

They went from giving free concerts to a multi-million dollar organization that employed several hundred staff members.

At one time, the Grateful Dead sold out the largest music venues in the country. Generally for two to three days at a time. Sometimes, twice a year.

The organization still makes a bundle to this very day, and yet they have not released any new music.

Lesson 1: Know your niche.

The Grateful Dead did not try to become all things to all people.

They knew early on, their appeal was very limited. While they released music albums, they got very little commercial radio air play.

They understood their audience and their audience understood them. The Dead’s model was to take their music to the people.

They become known through word of mouth. One person would go to a Grateful Dead concert, and they would tell their friends. Soon, they would tell their friends. And on and on.

Their shows became viral messages, as more and more people attended their concerts.

Through it all, they concentrated on their fans. They never tried to appeal to everyone.

The Grateful Dead understood their niche and put their energies in devloping that niche.
